Bootstrap 5 is the upcoming and latest version of the most popular open source front-end framework on the world.

As per the new Bootstrap 5 will be released without jQuery and no any jQuery dependency will be exists for the latest version of bootstrap framework. The bootstrap team officially announced their plans to remove jQuery dependency in Bootstrap 5 version. Its drastic change in bootstrap framework and some developers will doesn’t like this change because many websites already build with jquery and bootstrap combinations and if they want to upgrade then it will be overlap issue for some sites.

But the thing is that due to jquery is not changed according to technology need so this may be decision of the bootstrap team. Both sides have their reasons as jQuery is indeed a fairly aged project and remains almost not maintained by their founders but offers very elegant solutions in some cases and is still widely used and considered a reliable tool.
